The Naples Zoo - Florida - February 2012

Christmas at the Gerlach Farm in Maryland

Back on the farm again in Maryland - what a blessing! It had only been a little over 4 months since we had last visited. I think that's a record. Thanks Dad & Mom Brezler for sharing frequent flier miles with us - being able to fly "home" for Christmas was such a gift! We had a wonderful time relaxing with Dave, Melody, Kyle, Shane, and Skyla and so many of our friends at and around about the farm back home. Here's a few pictures of our visit. Unfortunately, my new camera was not working on the trip, but thankfully Andy's camera phone came through for us.
Here's one of Jack's favorite parts of the farmhouse...the staircase down to the kitchen...he fit so perfectly on that stair tread...

Dave hitched up a two horse wagon & was training one of the horses to pull a wagon for the first time. He does such a good job training horses - must be his Lancaster County heritage...

Our Christmas gift exchange was Crazy & Crazy Fun!!! Rhett opened up this toy story shake it up electronic car from Andy's family...

Kyle & Jack & Melody & Dave looking at photo albums we gave them for Christmas. We gave them pictures of our summer vacation in Maryland this past year...

Oh, I could brag about this group of men, but don't wanna embarrass anyone; however, they did all make it into the Cabela's windbreaker club...

We had an amazing time together as a family!! It was laid back with lots of laughs and reminiscing and daydreaming too about the future. AFter spending over two weeks in Maryland this Christmas we became homesick for our home in Bozeman, Montana. We are thankful that the blessing of air travel helps to make our "worlds" feel a little closer (ok, all except for the 17 hour trip back to Montana - hey, it's better than a 4 day road trip). God has blessed us with so much wonderful family and friends and spiritual family and we are thankful to Him for every good gift!!

Another Favorite Children's Book...From Head to Toe by Eric Carle

While watching my friend's two children this morning, we read this book together. I didn't know until I found this video that the words can be sung in a song. All four kids this morning LOVED doing the motions to this book and yelling, "I Can Do It!"
